New features for Admins!! in Jira Datacenter 9.16

🎉 Huge shoutout to Atlassian for thinking about Jira Admins in the latest Data Center 9.16 release of Jira! 🎉

The new streamlined field configuration experience is a game-changer! With this update, Atlassian has significantly improved the performance, stability, and appearance of the field configuration pages. The inclusion of pagination, search, and modern UI components makes for a much smoother and more efficient experience. 🚀

Additionally, a feature introduced since Jira 9.9 now allows empty fields to be configured to always be shown via the Configure screen page in Project Settings > Screens. This small but mighty feature has been a huge help in maintaining clarity and consistency across projects. 🌟

Kudos to Atlassian for continually enhancing the admin experience and making our lives easier. Here’s to many more awesome updates! 🥂

Looking at the UI it's an improvement. Looking at the daily ops it's five steps back.

Adding pagination loads the page faster. the example screen has 63 pages.

  • You can only search name. btw. the search placeholder reference that you can search by screen... That's not working.
  • You can't reorder by columns.
  • You can't filter by required / optional
  • You can't filter by hidden / visible

With the old ugly interface in case of debugging / comparing the browser CTRL + F search was handy as seraching for "show" identified the hidden fields and searching for "optional" identified the required fields.

That's just my 2 cent.
