Supported LDAP to connect with Crowd to support nested groups

Hello everybody,

we are planning to install Crowd and to connect to LDAP. One of the main requirements in this projects is that are nested groups are supported in LDAP.

We are planning to create the users and groups within in Crowd and synchronize them into LDAP. So we need write access to our LDAP server.

Does anyone have experiences with that scenario? We haven't choose a LDAP yet. Do you know an open source LDAP that supports nested groups and are able to connect to Crowd?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Natalie

Hi Natalie,

Crowd supports nested groups in LDAP. There is a option that you must turn on to enable this. I do recommend to check this documentation which explains how to setup nested Groups in crowd.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,

Rodrigo
