I am running Crowd 2.8.0. I would like to grant the ability for a set of users to be able to see the contents of all groups. I don't want to give them admin permissions in Crowd.
I tried adding a group to the Crowd application, but the only choices are for "System Administrator" and "Admin". If I set "Admin" the user can only see their own profile. I would like them to view all profiles read-only.

I have learned that there is no solution for this in Crowd just yet. It is something others have wished for here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CWD-3911
We have however created a nice workaround by creating a Confluence wiki page that uses User List Macros to list the contents of groups for all of our applications.
