unable to edit a current page

for some reason, i have become unable to edit selected/most pages, when I create a new page I can edit this and I can also edit some pages.

there does not appear to be a pattern however, we have just installed the calendar plugin is there a known bug?

Confluence security model builds on a hierarchical model, meaning that if you create a page, and those pages are moved to another space, and even under a page, you might have lost your rights on the content you created.  Have pages been moved or reordered? In a situation like below:

SPACE - not restricted

+Page1 - not restricted

++Page2 - somewhat restricted

+++Your page

The space is not restricted, page1 is not restricted but Page2 is.. These restrictions will rain down to Your page.

Systematically go through the parent pages, and check restrictions.
