That is what I have done for manually upgrading Confluence-4.3, but there is some error on its operation.
1- install manualy
2- change DB name on confluence-init.properties
3- copy crowd.properties and osuser.xml from Confluence-4.2 to -4.3
4- change localhost:8095 to ip:port
Cause
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'com.atlassian.confluence.setup.actions.SetupLicenseAction': Error setting property values; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.PropertyBatchUpdateException; nested PropertyAccessExceptions (1) are: PropertyAccessException 1: org.springframework.beans.MethodInvocationException: Property 'bootstrapSidManager' threw exception; nested exception is com.atlassian.config.ConfigurationException: Couldn't save confluence.cfg.xml to /opt/Confluence-data directory.
