Until recently, when creating a Space on Confluence Cloud, I could select among multiple templates as shown on the screenshot (this has been taken from a video on the documentation here), but now when I create a space, there are only three options (Collaboration, Knowlege Base or Custom)... has this been cut down by Atlassian on purpose?
@Shelley Montreuil @Barbara Szczesniak @Mikael Sandberg @Daniel Prado Rodriguez and anyone else who is interested: Would love to chat with you about your experience with the new space creation flow! Schedule any time that's convenient for you here.
I do not like the flow. It might be ok if the space creation actually worked. I choose Knowledge base and get something completely other than what I expected I would like to opt out of this testing how can I do that and return back to normal

Hey @Rob Geritano — would you be willing to share more on a call? If you would, please schedule any time that's convenient for you here.
If you've gone too much going on, then mind describing here what you'd have expected to see in a knowledge base space?

Welcome to Atlassian Community!
It sounds like you are part of the subset of customers that got the new space creation flow that was announced the other day. You can read about it here, Testing out a new space creation flow.

Yep — @Mikael Sandberg nailed it. We're testing out a new space creation experience.
@Daniel Prado Rodriguez out of curiosity, what did you like about the space templates? Were there specific page templates you used? If so, those templates are still available — here's how to access them:

@Ned Lindau I'm confused by your response, which seems to talk about the Page templates, rather than the Space templates that @Daniel Prado Rodriguez asked about. Is there a way to access all the Space templates?

@Mikael Sandberg I cannot open that article you linked... It says I don't have enough permissions... isn't it public?
Can I opt-out of that subset of customers?
To be honest, I had just started experimenting with the "old" (which weren't that old) space templates... but I think the now workflow has very few options.

@Ned Lindau @Barbara Szczesniak as I said, I was just starting experimenting with the "old" system...
Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't space templates just custom collections of page templates?
In any case, I think it was a much better way of having those pre-built set-ups, even if was just as a way of showcasing new ways of using Confluence.

@Daniel Prado Rodriguez I just noticed that the article is for community leaders only, but @Ned Lindau is the one who wrote it and should be able to help you opt out of the new flow if possible.

Hi all — “space templates” were simply a preconfigured collection of page templates. Usage data consistently showed that since adding space templates a few years ago, far more users started creating blank spaces, and very few users actually ended up using the page templates that were automatically created upon space creation (most ended up deleting them).
With this in mind, we’re trying a different approach that’s more focused on helping users create useful spaces from the get-go by focusing on space features and content types.
@Barbara Szczesniak @Daniel Prado Rodriguez — could you please tell me specifically which space templates you relied on and which page templates you used regularly?

@Ned Lindau I just remember that, when I created my first space last year for the user guide I'm writing, I selected the Documentation template. I have no need to create another space until I finish writing this guide and move on to another product.
However, when we move from Free to Premium soon, additional people will be using Confluence for other purposes and might benefit from the templates. As I am now the "Confluence expert" in my company, they will probably look to me for guidance. 😉
I just wanted to clarify what has changed with regard to space templates, so I don't tell them to do something that isn't available anymore.

@Ned Lindau this has also been very frustrating for me - I just spent two days trying to figure out why I can't create a space anymore that allows me to automagically paste important links from my browser and have them compiled on a reference page.
I am still confused as to how I am supposed to accomplish this now.

Would love to chat with you to learn more @Shelley Montreuil if you're willing! Schedule any time that's convenient for you here.
Also, could you send an example of this from another space:

Want to make sure I'm understanding what you're saying here.

Sure @Ned Lindau , I created this space from a Blueprint:
https://trippl.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Competitor/overview
It has a shared link section with a summary page and a way that I can share links to this page direcly from my browser window by pulling up a javascript modal.
