Is there a way to export version control based on date?
i.e. if audit requires that we export everything in Confluence as of 10/1/2020, is this possible?

You could use my team's app Scroll Documents to create versions that can then be exported as Word or PDF files.
One thing is that you'll need to manually create new version snapshots at certain dates. Perhaps monthly. Unfortunately, there's nothing automatic in place right now.
