Using Rest API to get Confluence Page Properties sometimes returns HTML tags

Development Admin May 11, 2017

After some searching, i was able to find a way to use the rest API to get the Page Properties created by the Page Properties Macro (using masterdetail/1.0/detailssummary/lines).  But at some point, the API started returning HTML tags along with the data ('<div xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\" class=\"content-wrapper\"><p><br/></p></div>' is an example of returning an empty data field).  I was able to fix it by deleting the tables and recreating them from scratch, but not sure how or why this happens in the first place.

Has anybody run into this, or know of a better way to pull the page properties?

I think I'm trying to do something similar but am also stuck.

I'd like to use the Confluence API to get the actual data entered for a confluence page tracking statements of work / contracts

that I can then pull into a BI analytics tool like Qlik or Tableau to look at projects over time, budgets, deliverables, timelines, etc.

I can't figure out what url to use to get at any of this.
