Hi
When I look at release notes of Confluence
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+4.2.13+Release+Notes
It says "If your version of Confluence is earlier than 3.5.x, then you should upgrade to Confluence 3.5.x before upgrading to Confluence 4.2.x."
Is there a recommended version for 3.5.x ( I mean what is x, is it 3.5.9 or 3.5.4 or it does not matter?)
Please let me know.
Thanks
Abe
Besides 3.5.13 you can upgrade to 3.5.17, and I think this version is good to avoid issues before upgrade to some 4.2.x version.
Thanks for the info.

Hello Abe,
That's correct. We advise to reach the latest stable version of Confluence 3.5, which is the 3.5.13.
That version corrects a lot of bugs in user managent for this version, and is very good to prepare confluence to upgrade to the latest versions.
Hope that helps you :)
Regards,
Rodrigo

It doesn't matter much, but it would be best to take the highest numbered release, simply because there are more bugs fixed (and hence a lower chance of running into problems)
