I have a free plan of confluence but as an admin, after installing the app I can see it is installed but have no access to the app itself. What should be done?

There might be several reasons.
I'd look into the apps docs if everything else fails. It did happen to me on many apps, it was there I just could not find the way to use the app without the manual.

Free Plan is for Cloud version.
I guess downloaded app is not for Cloud, instead it might for Server version.
