Unable to see specific Space as global admin, some users can see it.

Rodrigo Gomez December 4, 2024

Hello!
I have global admin but not able to see a specific space, it says "You've stumbled on restricted content"

I have checked the permissions and I do have full access all checkmarks under Space settings -> Space access - Users / Groups  (Confluence-administrators group I am part of has full access but unable to see)full access.png

Now if I go into Space Settings -> Content - Restricted, I am unable to find Confluence-administrators in the list. Do you know how I can add the permission? there is no edit to add button in this Restrictions page.

Thanks!

Hi @Rodrigo Gomez ,

As the others mentions you can't retrieve access to these restricted pages on a standard plan.

If you where on a premium plan you could get access as admin, see https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/bypass-access-restrictions-on-a-page-with-admin-key/

Hi @Marc - Devoteam  I know, but the problem is not only me, is any new user or new group that is added to this space is not able to see it.

Any old users / groups that were already added can see the space. But if a new group or a new user is added they cant see.

Hi @Rodrigo Gomez

That's because the main page on the page is set with restrictions.

So these need to be changed, only someone with access to tis page can do this or find some one with access and via their session in Confluence add yourself and then correct it.

@Rodrigo Gomez Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

First, you should keep in mind that the space may contain content that your company restricts (financial data, personnel records, and so on), so there could be a valid reason that you cannot see it.

If you go to Space settings > Space details, you can see the Administrators for the space. Contact one of these people to request access, and they can either grant you access or let you know why you cannot have access.

Hi @Barbara Szczesniak I am administrator of the space under Space settings > Space details, yet still unable to see it. :(

Hi @Rodrigo Gomez

Have you checked under the Cog icon -> search in jump to setting -> Space permission.

Do you see the Space and Recover Permission next to it?

regards

Rodrigo Gomez December 4, 2024

Unfortunately no, there is no Recover Permissions option.

If I go under Space Settings - Content - Restricted. The confluence-administrators is not found, so My guess this is the issue but how do I add the group in here?
