Unable to download *.vm attachments from Confluence OnDemand

JamesS December 30, 2012

We have Velocity templates that we attach in Confluence OnDemand. If it has a name *.vw (wildcard), it uploads as type 'application/octet-stream' or 'application/x-upload-data' and when I click on it to download, I get a page with only '403 Forbidden nginx'. If I change the name to *.txt, it's fine

Hmm, that's a setting in nginx, not Confluence.

I suspect you need to contact Atlassian OnDemand support about it - I'm sure they've blocked it for a good reason (the nginx I've got here doesn't block .vm files off-the-shelf, but it's easy to configure it to do so)

Thanks, I've already contacted them.
