URL file path is to long

URL file path is to long

Occasionally when opening files this error occurs

A DDE error has occurred, and a description of the error cannot be displayed because it is too long. If the filename or path is long, try renaming the file or copying it to a different folder.

Understand this is a windows problem but does anyone know of a quick fix as it is not always consistant in number of characters. Windows say 220 but have known it to fail with 212?

You can use “long path tool” program to solved this issue. this tool is very useful to solved this issue.

Which version of Confluence are you using? in 3.5 they shortened the file paths.
