UI Children Macro card display is not showing background images

When using the UI Children macro in Card mode, previously it would show the first image on the page as the background image for the card.

The macro appears to be directed to the correct URL for the images but it's not displaying as expected on the card within the macro.

Have you tried to use a background macro for that? For that, you can try Content Formatting Macros for Confluence

This app allows you to improve page structure and visuals with the list of different macros: 

Tabs, LaTeX, Tooltip, Background, Cards, Numbered Heading, Button, etc.
