I have created two pages: a Source page and a Target page. In the Source page, I included the excerpt macro and created a table within it.
I then referenced this excerpt on my Target page.
My issue concerns the refreshing of content displayed on the Target page. When I:
1. Update the table on the Source page and publish it
2. Access the Target page within the same browser session
the updates are not visible unless I manually refresh the page.
On the other hand, if I:
1. Update the table on the Source page and publish it
2. Open a new browser session
3. Access the Target page
the updated values are displayed.
Is there a method to have the updated values displayed automatically, without needing to manually refresh, when accessing the Target page in the same browser session?
@Hatcher, Karen M. (SP) the issue is that the target page content in the same browser session is cached. When you refresh the page it is updating this cache. I am not aware of any way to refresh the browser cache without a refresh.
