Support of referencing guest users in Confluence Databases

Fabian Saccilotto April 15, 2024

Some team members wanted to use the new databases feature of Confluence to create an overview of ownerships of certain topics.

Therefore the column type user was used.

Nevertheless we can only select users that are full confluence users. Guests do not appear in the search.

Is it planned to support guest user linkage in a later stage?

Hello @Fabian Saccilotto , according to the roadmap: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud?&search=databases, Atlassian hasn't planned this option to be added to confluence databases feature.

Also, none of the webinars are being hosted regarding this kind of topic. Also, make sure that you subscribe to the feature newsletter about the every week releases: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog

Thanks a lot!
Is there a way to let atlassian know that we would appreciate that feature?

Hi @Fabian Saccilotto

You can raise a discussion on the Atlassian community and tag the Atlassian as well in there, since on their Jira site, there is not an option to make a new feature suggestion.
