Standard Confluence Metadata

Is there standard Confluence Metadata, such as version and author? If so how do I use those values. I am currently using the Metadata plugin to create my own metadata but I need the version number, author and data of published. I am trying to use Metadata so I can use REST calls on the page.

Have you tried getting a page using the API to see what kind of information is pulled with the page object? I am pretty sure the version is contained and date when it was last modified. Not sure about the author though.
