Show only excerpts in the list of blog posts

Currently, when I have a list of blog posts with excerpts and choose "excerpts" mode in the Blog Posts macro - I see a list of blog posts with titles, excepts AND some body text following the excerpts, if those are too short.

For Pages (rather than blog posts) I see a different behavior - when I create a Children Display macro with "excerpts" mode I get rendered page titles and excerpts ONLY (without page content following the excerpts).

The question is if it is possible to achieve the same appearance with Blog Posts macro?

I was able to replicate the behavior you described. With this in mind, I was able to find the bug report that is tackling this issue. Here, take a look:

A good approach would be to vote and watch this report. Currently, there is no workaround for the situation. Voting helps to increase the issue visibility and watching it will keep you up to date with everything posted there.
