Send plain-text Emails from confluence

My companies policy does not allow outlook to display HTML-Emails for security reasons.

Is there a way to force Confluence 6 to send out update emails for subscribed content in plain text?

I would ask anyone who comes across my question to vote for this feature to be implemented.

In the meantime, has anyone maybe found a workaround for this issue? A plugin maybe or a template hack or some such?
