When you search on pages, Confluence will find also pages that have search term somewhere in the page name string.
When you search label (in Advanced Search) you must search from the first character. It does not find labels where the search term is somewhere in the middle of the labelname.
Can you fix that?
As per I remember that is how the behavior has been, sounds like a good feature request.

@Johan Theunissen this is a great idea. We have a label manager app on the marketplace. I'm not sure it's technically possible, but you never know unless you look.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
A special app for this little feature. Weird. It is just an adjustment to the searchstring for the the labels.

@Johan Theunissen I agree. I think it is a good idea.
But to be fair it is not much of a problem, so not a priority for Atlassian to add. What we do not know is whether it is 'just an adjustment to the searchstring' or is more complicated to implement.
You can create a request for Atlassian to build it. I would upvote it.

Hi @Johan Theunissen
I dont suppose you could give me an example of the label and what you are searching for. Could you? I may have a potential solution that might be of interest to you.
Many thanks
Matt

That should not matter. If you want to find a label, you have to start the search with the first characters and that is weird, because most users don't know all the labels.
