Hi,
I have an issue with one specific space on Confluence Cloud. When I try to add a new document to scroll documents it says Unable to create a new document. I have searched and I have not found any answers on that. All the other spaces are working fine and I can create new documents but not for one specifically.
Someone at K15 can you please help with that?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Nora,
I’m Johanna from K15t, the team behind Scroll Documents. It seems there might be an issue with enabling Scroll Documents on your space’s home page or a parent page. Typically, Scroll Documents doesn’t support nested documents, which could be causing the problem.
For instance, if you also see the message “This page has children that are part of a Scroll Document,” it suggests that one of the child pages under the root page is already part of a document. In such cases, review all child pages and move those child pages so they are no longer children of the parent page where you want to enable Scroll Documents.
If the problem persists or if there is a message indicating something else, I recommend contacting our support for closer troubleshooting. You can send an email to: help@k15t.com
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Johanna (K15t).
@Nóra Tölgyesi Hello and welcome,
@Johanna Linaker (K15t) is correct - if you have a Scroll Document enabled on a root page of your space, you won't be able to create another Scroll Doc in that space.
Been there, done that ... and failed :)
The solution is to delete the all-space Scroll Doc and create a series of new ones.
Or, and Johanna would be a much better help then me, your use case may be served by using the Page Groups feature of Scroll Documents.

Hi Both,
Thank you for your reply, I realised I had one document over the space as you said which stopped me to create new ones.
Thank you for your help.
Nora
