Hi all
In my company we are using Confluence and Jira intensely - all hosted on the cloud.
[UPDATED] Our export is approx. 10GB and the xml size limit of 200MB is exceeded (900MB), so there seem to be no actual way of restoring a full backup.
Restoring individual spaces does not backup users etc, so it's not a real option, as I see it.
We used to conduct regular backup and restore tests of the full Confluence site, but now I'm really struggling with doing a restore. The site exports seems to be working ok. All documentation on refers to a "Site import" but that does not seem to be available at our restore site. Exporting/importing individual spaces is not really an option, as we have a lot of spaces.
So - am I missing something, or how do I do a full site restore test?
@Tommy Poulsen Sorry I missed your response. There are several different vendors that provide backup and recovery solutions for Atlassian cloud. They all have different pros and cons but basically do the same thing. Here is a list of some of them - https://www.hycu.com/blog/jira-cloud-backup
Thanks for responding @Brant Schroeder My request is for disaster recovery- we are manufacturing medical device products and Confluence is currently a core tool in our setup

@Tommy Poulsen I believe if you are doing a full site restore you would need to follow the instructions here in the migration documentation. https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/merge-multiple-confluence-cloud-sites/

So - is it really true that a full backup and restore is not possible?

@Tommy Poulsen If you have a large instance like that then it does exceed the full backup size that you would be able to restore. Since you are on a cloud product I am just wondering what you are trying to do. Are you planning on migrating to a new instance or is this for DR?
Since it is cloud here is some great information about DR and data security.

@Tommy Poulsen I would refer you to this for DR on the cloud - https://www.atlassian.com/trust/security/security-practices#business-continuity-and-disaster-recovery-management
