Recover a diagram from an earlier version of my doc

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Page History and Page Comparison Views

i want to restore a diagramly diagram from an earlier version of my doc.  Then I want to add it to the current version.  How can I do this?

is the diagram in an attachment document or embedded in a page?

either way, open or download the old version of the document, copy the image to your PC, then open the current version and copy it in and save
