RESTful API connection for Confluence Cloud?

Hello! We recently took on Atlassian toolset and what i want to do is have a Confluence page for each one of our clients with live information from our database about each one. We tried the SQL Connector Beta plugin for Confluence Cloud, however there was an issue with our security protocols (we require validation of IP addresses before allowing access to our database).

So the next idea would be to call our API form Confluence. What would be the best way to do that?
