PageTreeSearch Macro does not find the space home page

Hans-Arno Wegner July 26, 2018

We use the search function at the side bar.

Default it uses the current page as search root, which isn't that useful for us. So I wanted to change this.

Basically it works fine with every page name I put in here:

      {pagetreesearch:rootPage=PAGE NAME}

But only when I use the page name of our space home page the seachbar only tells:

     The selected space cannot be found. The selected root page could not be found.

I tried out using {pagetreesearch:root=PAGE NAME}, {pagetreesearch:rootPage=SpaceKey:KEY}, {pagetreesearch:space=KEY}, even added the line {sv-pagetree} which I found on a help page.

Always the same result.

What goes wrong?

Hello @Hans-Arno Wegner,

The following should work in using the name of the page root page of the Space.

      {pagetreesearch:rootPage=<PAGE NAME>}

I tested this with my Space's home page, and it seems to work fine.

pagetree1.PNG

pagetree2.PNG

pagetree3.PNG

Could you check if the case of the page is correct, and also where did we add the pageTree macro in.

Do let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Sattesh

Hi Sattesh,

Thanks a lot for replying!

But as mentioned in my question I already tried this approach.
I tried it with PAGE NAME and with KEY.

I used the PAGE NAME of the page shown as root in the hierarchy of this space. Written the way it is shown as page title. I even tried out to use the browser adress compatible writing of the name instead.
But always I get this cannot-be-found info whenever I search for anything.
(Only if I put this root page as search root.)

For now, I gave up.

Ciao
Hans-Arno
