What is the best approach: a group page or a space?

Yes, this wishlist is available through some plugins or Confluence Features:
Calendar: We have the Team Calendars Plugin https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.confluence.extra.team-calendars
Blog or News Feed: There's the RSS Feed macro to reach this question https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/RSS+Feed+Macro
Survey: Survey Plugin works fine to reach Survey questions https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.nearinfinity.confluence.survey-plugin
Forum: Community Bubbles enhances collaboration and encourages interaction within your wiki by letting people connect and discuss. A forum. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.adaptavist.confluence.bubbles
A group space is better to share with people, it's more easy. But a page is recommended too, will be better if you have both of them. This question is more about which will reach what you're wanting.
I've sent to you the plugins that you have to investigate, don't worry about it.
URL curtomisation will need an Apache. When you upgrade Confluence, if you have any customisations, you will have to reset them, they will interrupt you with it, if you don't you could get some errors and could be not abble to proceed. Also, don't forget that customisations are out of support scope. Also, if you wish, you can take a look at Confluence 4.3 Release Notes, to be updated with it. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+4.3+Release+Notes
Kind Regards,
Giuliano Tenedini
Hi Giuliano,
Thanks for the advice. Let me keep the question open for a while. If there won't be any other (satisfactory) answer I will accept your answers.
Cheers,
Selcuk
