Page per group vs group space help needed

Dear All,

We would like to create an area to display group specific contect distilled from master/parent area.

This area need to have

• Calendar: Display general items + group specific items and it fires up email notification to all users in the group
• Blog or news feed: Display latest information to the group posted by the administrators
• Survey: Show available survey to this group and encourage them. It may be several surveys open at the time but maybe some of them available to the group.
• Forum: The group members post questions and comments on an open forum

Is this wishlist achievable?

What is the best approach: a group page or a space?

Which plugins do I need to investigate?

What are the possible hurdles? What should I pay extra atention?

Blog or News Feed: There's the RSS Feed macro to reach this question https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/RSS+Feed+Macro

A group space is better to share with people, it's more easy. But a page is recommended too, will be better if you have both of them. This question is more about which will reach what you're wanting.

I've sent to you the plugins that you have to investigate, don't worry about it.

URL curtomisation will need an Apache. When you upgrade Confluence, if you have any customisations, you will have to reset them, they will interrupt you with it, if you don't you could get some errors and could be not abble to proceed. Also, don't forget that customisations are out of support scope.
