New tables are now centered on the page

Our pages are full width by default, and up until yesterday, when I inserted a new table, the table is placed on the left and was full width.

Yesterday I noticed whenever I insert a new table (on a new page, or on an existing page)  the table is centered on the page and I can't seem to change that, or change its width.

Existing tables remain full width.  Is this a bug, or a setting somewhere in confluence?

Oh I discovered you CAN change the width of the table,   I didn't realize there are actually two resize functions that are very close to each other (Resizing the right-most column, and resizing the actual table)

To resize the rightmost column you drag the the edge of the table, to resize the table you drag the vertical bar that is slightly to the right of the table.

Not very intuitive. At first I thought it was a scrollbar.

Thanks Jeremy, that is exactly what I was looking for (the last 20 minutes). I agree with Kin, not intuitive at all.

This is a recent change. To my knowledge you can no longer align the table to the left, center or right of a page if it isn't full width, but I may have missed where to do this.

Yes,  It looks like pages are ALWAYS centered, but I did discover how you can resize the table, so if you make the table full width, it looks ok with everything else that is left aligned.

>if it isn't full width,
and if it is full width there is no visible difference:-)

Tables should behave and align similar to pictures. I don't want the whitespace in default centered tables, and I don't want the full width as workaround.

I personally prefer all my pages to be full width, so now it means that I just have to drag every table as wide as the page, which is inconvenient but not a show stopper.  I think centering things on the page by default is sub optimal because typically documentation is left aligned, which is why I never understood why images could only be centered when you put them inside expand controls.

When I do full width with a page and place a table ,add numbered column, make the table width the same as the page, save ...
I always see the horizontal scroll bar appears at bottom of the table.

Once I do without numbered column, no scrollbar is there.
