Need help get API token for the whole confluence site.

We have number of spaces which are public and personal spaces. Each and every one is able to access them. We are about to perform an operation with REST API where it will help us to make all of those spaces to private. I could find the API token for the whole but for individual user I'm able to. So, could you please help me in getting the token for whole site .

Hi @mohan.reddy ,

For Confluence Cloud – and similarly for Jira Cloud – you only get user-based API tokens.

So, if you want to perform some action via the REST API with maximum permissions, you will need a user with those permission. Typically, you would either use the account of an admin or a technical account created specifically for this purpose.

In either case, I would strongly recommend revoke such a powerful API token as soon as your operations are finished.

Hope that helps,
 Oliver
