Macro browser error

Joe Wojak June 13, 2013

In Confluence, when I go to Insert > Other macros the macro browser never opens. If I do this several times I eventually get this pop up error with the text:

"The page at https:<my domain> says:

There has been an error loading the macro browser.

Please try again or see your system administrator."

Entering the macro name wiht a curly brace in text works, but I can't always remember the macro name. Like this: {<macro name>}

I use a Mac and see this problem on Chrome and Safari. Checking with our sysadmins, but wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Thank you.

Hi,

Sometimes this is caused by a gadget feed, where the source is not reachable. Can you please check and remove any from Confluence Admin > Gadgets > Gadget Feeds?

Also, the following KB articles may be related, however, I encourage you to open a support ticket at http://support.atlassian.com and see if we can trace it back based on your logs.
