Links applied to an image do not work on my mobile device

I applied links to images in many confluence pages.  They work great in the confluence cloud that i run on my laptop.  But when I checked them on my android they only open the image not the link that was applied to the image.  Is there a way to fix this?

After reading the behavior you described:

1. Create a page
2. Add images
3. Add links to the images
4. Publish page
5. Access the recently create page via Mobile  Application Experience
6. Click (touch) the image
7. Opens the image, instead of redirecting to link

It seems that you are affected by the situation reported here:

• [Confluence Cloud] Clicking on the image with hyperlink on the Confluence Cloud mobile application opens up the image instead of redirecting the user to the linked page
