Link table filters

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to somehow link different drop-down filters together or have a "parent" filter with multiple "child filters" such that if I change the value of one filter, the others change to that same value automatically?

Hi @EH ,

If judging by the header of your question we are talking about the Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app (that is our add-on) and its Table Filter macro, then there is no such possibility.

If your case is that you need to present your data but it is not convenient to filter on the fly (you change the first dropdown filter and then need to adjust filters in other columns since they are somehow affected by the first choice), you may use the following workaround:

• Wrap your source table in the Table Excerpt macro
• Reuse it using the Table Excerpt Include macro as many times as many filter views you need
• Wrap each Table Excerpt Include macro in a separate Table Filter macro and set the required filters for each reused table

All the changes made to the source table will be passed to its virtual copies, and you'll get a kind of a live dashboard.

If you are talking about smth else, please tell us some more about the case.
