Jira release Notes in Confluence exported empty

Anton Kushnir December 8, 2024

Hey, since Jira introduced new Release notes, that can be saved in Confluence, data from some custom fields was not exported to Confluence. I used share Release notes with Customer success team, but custom created fields like "Customer" or "Product segment" exported as empty. Pls fix or suggest workaround

Hi @Anton Kushnir ,

I've never experienced this but on the other hand I didn't use create release notes that much.

Can you maybe share which types of fields, "Customer," "Product segment," and all others that are not properly exported?

Cheers,
Tom

@Tomislav Tobijas _Koios_ these are "label" type custom fields. Worked like a charm month ago on previous release with old-fashioned release notes table. Out-of-the-box fields as well as some text type custom fields seems to be working fine

@Anton Kushnir I was just able to reproduce this. I'm not sure if this worked before or not, but I've raised this to the engineering team from them to check out and give some feedback. I can keep you posted here once I get an update from them.

It's either a Bug or a Suggestion and there is (or will be) a ticket on JAC for it.

I'm back with an update @Anton Kushnir

It seems that not only Labels field type is not exported but some other field types aren't as well.
The support team has created a bug on JAC and here's the link: JSWCLOUD-27620: Confluence release notes are not capturing values for custom fields

You can drop a vote and set yourself as a watcher to monitor the updates and the development.
