Is this email an advertisement?

서영훈 February 5, 2025

Email is sent by info@e.atlassian.com and the title is "00 wants to start a Jira Sofrtware trial"

In Email, Link below leads me to start using trial version.

I'm not sure if my colleague really wants to use and tried to get permision or its just junk email.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @서영훈 ,

This would mean that someone from your organization has requested to try out Jira (ex. Software) as a new product. I'm guessing you currently don't have Jira and this is why you're seeing this email (as, most likely, you're org/product admin?).

This often happens when users are just starting to use some of the Atlassian tools and start clicking around to try out all other products.

Cheers,
Tobi

As you guessed, I’m an admin for another software in atlassian.

So, based on what you said, this means the person didn’t explicitly request to use Jira but just clicked around while exploring different options, right?

Thanks for the clarification!

@서영훈 most probably (at least that's something I occasionally encounter on sites we managed). You could probably reach out to this person and ask them how they requested this product and if is there any business case behind it.

You can always start free trials for each Atlassian product or just start with Free plan and explore product functionalities.

Cheers,
Tobi
