Is there a way to replicate the Space level permissions from group to another?

I have a new group gets synched through Identity Provider (Okta). I need to move the users (gradually not all at once) from another existing group to this new one.

Is there way to replicate all the permissions the old existing group to new one?

Both the groups will co-exist for a while until I migrate all the users from old to new. So I just want to replicate all the space level permissions only.

It appears that there is no Admin level UI to do. I submitted a ticket to Support team. They helped to replicate the permissions from one group to another. I am hoping this will be offered as feature at the admin portal in the future.

Top reasons for creating new group -

- improve and enforce new security policies

- have a meaningful group name and meaning ways to group the users.

I was able to do a work around by naming the group name in Okta exactly as in Atlassian and then synch using group push. This is not a clean solution but better needing to go at the each space and replace with new group name. I wish there is way to rename the group or replicate all the permissions from one group to another.
