Is there a way to rename groups of users in Confluence?

We had a business change that makes some of the titles for user groups that we originally created obsolete. Is there a way to keep the groups intact, but change the group name?

This issue seems to be in the works according to Atlassian.

Thank you Victor. That seems to address a similar issue with Jira--hoping they are considering it for Confluence, as well. I appreciate the information.
