Is there a macro available that can enable searches inside an attachment in Confluence?

With the current search options we are only able to search on the attachment name, but not inside the attachment.

Not out of the box.  There are some Marketplace addons that might help with specific doc types, you would have to go try some and see if they meet your requirements.

Thanks @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM ! Do you have any recommended addon names that I can explore. I searched and so far did not see something that would meet my needs and thus thought will seek help from the community.

Sorry, I don't.  Do you have a particular type of attachment, like pdf or word doc?  If so I would search for those in the Marketplace.  I think it's unlikely there is one add-on that will allow searching in any attachment.  Maybe something for Rovo in the future?

No problem. We have pdf, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint. Will do a little bit more of search.

Inability to search inside a document has become a limitation due to which people are not able to see confluence as a single source of truth for content management and thus continue using outlook or their own desktop to store information. It is still being used widely, but if we had this feature that would have been great.
