Is it possible to update content page from Confluence plugin

Hi,

Is it possible to add/update content to a page from the server side of a plugin ?

Our use-case is that we have a plugin into the banner info, and we would like to make its content exportable in PDF/Word. To do this, we thought about adding some macro from the server side of the plugin to content of the page ( and if it is already there, then just skipped this process).

I was not able to confirm if this action is actually feasible.

Would someone know ? If so, would you have a code snippet ?

Well in case anyone face such concern, I ended up using the rest API from the client-side to update the page. 

Note: The PDF and Word export are seriously lacking of hook to properly interact with them. We shouldn’t have to update the content of a page to configure some export....
