Hello,

Using Confluence 4.2.3 - is it possible to add Global template creation privileges to groups without system-administrator permissions? There are several admin tasks I'd like to assign to a new group without giving away access to everything.

Thanks,

Jen

No. You have to be an administrator to amend global templates.

You could do some coding to cover this, and I *think* there's an open request with Atlassian to allow more delegation of functions to admin groups, but at the moment, you're stuck I'm afraid.

I asked this same question during Administrator's training in Nov 2012, and was told no. I would also really like to grant permissions to template creations without giving across-the-board admin access. This model actually makes very little sense to me.

I couldn't find any open issues in JIRA for this, so I created one. Please vote on it!
