Is it possible to export a space then import it to overwrite an existing space?

Let's say I have 2 wiki spaces, MYAPP210 and MYAPP. The first is the documentation for version 2.1.0 of my application, whereas the second is the documentation for the current version.

When I release version 2.2.0, I want to copy MYAPP210 into MYAPP220, make documentation changes there, and then I want to essentially clone MYAPP220 into MYAPP, overwriting the entire space.

Is this possible? Is there a better solution for my use case?

I was able to do this by deleting the target wiki space MYAPP, then using "Copy Space" to copy MYAPP220 into MYAPP.

Confluence allows you to use a wiki space key that was previously in use but has been deleted.
