Has anyone ever tried this?

I was thinking of doing it so that a set of docs that splits into three distinct areas can have their own subject matter logo. This would provide a visual indicator of which section a user was in.

We're running 5.9 server.

Cheers.

Short answer: No

The page title is like the key term in the database, so it can't even contain URL reserved characters.

You can add something of a masthead just under the title to help differentiate the pages, but it wouldn't make any difference to the page tree in the sidebar.
