Is anyone using Confluence to build a "web site" that can promote a producct or service?

Mark Smith October 24, 2019

Confluence generates key word tags which allows a page to be found. I was just wondering if this would be the best way to start a site to promote.

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the community.

There are a few ways to skin this cat.

  1. Many Atlassian partners use a raw Confluence instance to promote their products. e.g. https://wiki.resolution.de/doc/saml-sso/latest/jira
  2. You can use an app like Refined to skin Confluence and style it to your liking, allowing you to build a proper web site to promote said product/service.
  3. Thirdly, you can use something like Instant Websites to generate a static website which you can customise with css to your heart's content - e.g.  http://help.parkassist.com/.

In terms of generating keyword tags, while I'm not an SEO expert, I believe Confluence does a reasonable job of generating these tags. Atlassian's documentation is based off Confluence and it is well indexed by Google.

Cheers, Jimmy
