Is Oracle 12C supported with Confluence

We are looking to upgrade our Confluence install to version 5.6. It is noted that Oracle 11G is supported. I'm wondering if Oracle 12C is supported?

We currently have 10G installed and would prefer to migrate directly to Oracle 12C along with our migration to Confluence 5.6.

Officially, no (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Supported+Platforms). You can always try it out though (not my official) recommendation.

Is this version referring to the database version, or the Oracle client version that is installed on the wiki server?
