I am trying to display PDF file content in the page. I successfully attached the PDF file. Then when I used the "Insert PDF" macro, it didn't display any preview neither does it do anything when I click on the "insert" button (bottom, right corner next to cancel button).
I worked it out first you add the file to that page and then you can insert the PDF.

Hello @daryl_castro,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Testing on my local Confluence, I wasn't able to replicate the same issue.
When adding a PDF to a page and then using the macro, it loads the preview and it also loads the PDF once the page is published.
Is it happening to all PDF files or specific ones?
What is the size of the file?
Please, open the developer tools on your browser and check if it shows any error on the console tab when you add the PDF macro.
Have you tested using another browser?
Is it affecting other users?
Regards,
Angélica

I tried it again. This time it was able to insert the PDF successfully. It could be the internet connection on my end that was unstable a few weeks back. Internet was restored recently.
Size of the files I was inserting ranges from 100KB to 3.1MB.
