Import of Word: Best way to import Version History table

Chris X January 30, 2025

I have imported a Word document to Confluence.

The word document has a version history table in it.

It spans about 3 pages and has about 4 columns with info; date, name, version, description.

I'm trying to decide the best way to incorporate the 'historic' Version History into the Confluence page (as Confluence has its own inbuilt versioning).

Best I can think of is an 'Expand' with 'Historic Version History' as the title, and then the table imported from word.

Suggestions appreciated.

@Chris X Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

I would say that your idea of using the Expand macro sounds like a good plan. You might also include a note above the table to the effect that changes after the most recent date in the table (or insert the date imported to Confluence) are reflected in the page's version history in Confluence.
