We are using Confluence (the product) (most likely the latest version if there are no "pay for the latest" option somewhere)
We have two spaces
Each space have several pages
I want to invite some externals to ONLY one page in one of the spaces, but no!
I first need to add them to the product, giving them access to ALL of our spaces/pages.
Then I cannot fin any way to restrict their access to that single page.
Question: How newbie am I here?
Is it possible to allow externals/guest to only see/edit one page?
If not possible, can I make the restriction to one space only?
I think I am an Admin. It says "ORG ADMIN" one place but dont know if this goes for one product, one space, one group or other..
Any help is highly appreciated!
I've played a bit with this, and looks like the one solution would be to:
But, I found interesting info:
Each individual guest can have access to one space at a time
There is no limit on the number of total spaces that can be shared with guests
There is no limit to the number of guests that can be in one space
With that in mind if you need grant access to 1 page, maybe it would be easy to just create a 1 separate space for guests and then clone (copy and move) those individual pages into it?
Then all guest would have access to copies of the special pages, without access to full story / data from other clients etc.
This would be easier to restrict (than whole space), because in this space for given page each guest user could be added as editor, and all 'clones' would be restricted to single dedicated guests + users from original space.
When the job/review is done page could be moved back to original space.
Things to consider: edition history, page comments, resolved inline comments
That could work ^^
Thanks Lukasz!
That space solution proposal sounds like the way to go. I´ll have a go on it!
Cheers,
Roald
