I cannot save my gliffy diagram

Question

I created a new page and then added a gliffy diagram to the page. When I try to save the gliffy document I get this error:

Cannot save diagrams in a space template; please use a regular page.

I exported the page to a gliffy doc. But how do I save this so I don't lose all my work?

And what is saving the gliffy has to do with publishing the page? I had the same issue and though I lost hours of work.

Something is really flawed in this system.

This is happening because you created a new page and added a Gliffy diagram on the page without publishing the page.

Go back to the confluence page -> publish the page -> Edit the page again -> Edit the Gliffy draft (Your changes would be saved in a draft) -> Save it

This should work fine.

From the looks of it, you're trying to save the diagram macro on the Confluence Cloud template.

It might be worth checking out the following Gliffy documentation page: Customizing Confluence templates for Gliffy diagrams

Apart from that, you might try reaching out to Gliffy Support as they can probably give you some more assistance on this matter.
