I cannot find the code block macro in the list, only the code snippet appear.
When I type {} as advised by the help center, nothing happen.
The help center document I found is here: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-code-block-macro/, but it seems out of dated
Hi @Tham Giang Triet ,
welcome to the Atlassian Community!
In the documentation there's info:
This macro was intentionally excluded from the new editor and replaced with the Code Snippet element.
This is what I think is happening in your case too - you need to use Code snippet.
I am sorry, Hana, but no.
No, I do not "need" to use the Code Snippet; I need to be able to start line numbers at something else than 1 (or not showing them).
In essence, what I *need* is the former Code Macro, that has now, intentionally(!), been removed.
What I *have* to do, however, is write a bitter comment on the page in question, that Atlassian has removed the functionality that I need, and that I must now ask the readers of said page to do some mental gymnastics that are at odds with what is actually shown to them.
