How to add a file mid-page, exactly where I want it without changing page formatting.

I am editing a preexisting confluence page. Currently, I have numbered lists and images sprinkled throughout the page. I need to add a file between two specific lines of text. These two lines are mid-numbered list. When attempting to drag and drop or choose to 'Add image, video or file' the file I want to add is added either two lines lower in the list or at the bottom of the page. After trying a few things, I'm at a loss for how to add this file where I want without changing the numbered list. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

@jdell - what kind of file is it?

I'd upload the file to the page (as an attachment), then add a hyperlink to the attachment, between the two specific lines of text.

SHIFT-Enter to add a manual line break between the two lines, then add the hyperlink there.
