On the classic version of the Confluence, I was able to put images in line with text so I could have text....icon....text. Based on feedback, this has been the preferred method, especially when doing navigation type of content. Currently, the cloud confluence space does not let me do this. I've this several times over, but I cannot have text next to an image. I've tried placing the image next to the text or putting it above. I don't like having to do this as it feels less effective when delivering navigational level content. I want to point out the icon next to the image it references. How can I accomplish this?
I understand what you're trying to achieve but doesn't it kinda goes against the actual purpose of the inline image. I mean, it's called inline for a reason. Our policy is to not use inline graphics at all (although it's still here or there in legacy docs. But even then it's only used in cases where the inline size doesn't render the details, and thus the meaning of the image, unclear.
If clarity and/or intelligibility of the details is so important that it warrants disrupting the flow (equal spacing of the lines), then perhaps the image warrants a standalone introduction.
Example:
This is the icon that we use to express joy:
Whenever you want to express joy, click and have a cup of tea.
Hey @Robert_Friedman , do I understand correctly, that the issue is that you can't put the picture inside the text and give it proper size? Because otherwise it should be possible, you either paste picture right into the text, or insert it into text via menu or click on the picture and select "inline" mode.
Also I played a bit with your example, if you want something like this, it is totally possible with the actions mentioned above.

Oh, I checked your other threads, so you do want to resize pics. Then I don't have a solution for you, sorry.
Probably you may adapt to layouts usage in this kind of form.
Like this, not sure, if it is enough.

You're correct that I can put an image in line. But the images I want to in line need to be larger than the text size in order for it to be visible to the reader. Currently, the image has to match the size of text size. Generally my images needs to be larger than the text and be in line with the rest of the text on a single row. I've added a video description of what I'm looking for. https://youtu.be/X9wIR3lsqdQ?feature=shared
