How much downtime is caused by the Copy Confluence Data tool?

We are running a migration from one Confluence tenant from another and are using the data copy tool:

https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/copy-confluence-data/

In testing with a small number of spaces this worked without issue, but the documentation says that it can cause downtime. Which tenant would experience the downtime - the source or the destination? And do we know if the tenant would be hard down or if some spaces may just have difficulty loading?

Hi @Ylan Muller

That depends on the amount of data in the instance.

Best is to reach out to Atlassian Support and explain that you would like to migrate.

They can check and give an estimation.

Both source and destination will not be usable at the time.
